General Rules:
Possession, and /or use of
drugs or alcohol is strictly prohibited.
Sign
in and pay for practice/racing before you place your car on the track.
Check for loose screws on the bottom of car chassis and
check ride heights every time before you put your car on the carpet.
No Smoking anywhere in or outside the facility.
A towel or cloth must be used to cover your pit table
surface, unless it is your own pit table.
Always leave your pit table clean after use.
Do NOT walk across the track to
the pit area, stay off the carpet/track walk around, this also applies to the
outdoor gas track, do NOT walk on it.
Do
not drive or test vehicle while there is a race in progress.
Use your frequency clips on the frequency board. DSM
radios do not apply.
No radios ON in the
pit area, including DSM radios.
No yelling at turn marshals they did not wreck, YOU did.
Be
careful on rainy or snowy days as the floor can get slippery.
Be courteous to our newer/perhaps younger drivers, you
may have been one of them at one time too.
The
use of reverse is prohibited during races. This will be enforced.
Lithium
Polymer (LiPo) batteries must be stored and charged in a LiPo sack(s), or
something similar to contain possible leak.
Please
have the right attitude…this is a hobby and supposed to be FUN! No cursing
or temper tantrums, this is a family Environment!
Be ready to race!
Windy City RC takes NO
responsibility for any damage or liability to you or your RC Car (This is a
race environment parts break). But we do wish you the most enjoyment at our RC
Facility(s).
Race
Director:
Race director and/or
computer operator should not be distracted during races.
Race Director is responsible
for running a fair and non-bias race.
Race Director makes the
final call on all issues. That is that, no continuing arguments.
Race Director will call all
penalties (based on notification from track officials)
Race director reserves the
right to “black flag” any drivers who are operating in a reckless or uncontrolled
manner or that may constitute a hazard to other drivers in a race.
Race Director has the right
to disqualify any racer for any rule violation, PERIOD.
Marshals:
You must corner marshal the
race following your race. If a substitute is needed due to physical or other
reasons, it is your responsibility to arrange for a substitute.
It is strongly encouraged
that all marshals wear hand and eye protection while marshalling a race. There
is hot exhaust, spilled fuel, flying dirt and moving parts. This is the just
par for the sport of RC racing.
No open toe shoes are
allowed while marshalling and marshals must wear a shirt at all times.
Racing:
All racers must run their
own cars in their designated races. No substitute drivers are allowed in any
class. You can practice with other people’s vehicles, but please be careful.
All racers are responsible
for the actions of their Pit Crew, ABSOLUTELY no yelling, cursing, or
disrupting other drivers from the drivers stand.
All racers must obey racing
penalties when called during the race.
All racers must obey the
Race Director’s Instructions during the race and during practice.
All drivers will at ALL times,
take evasive action. Excessive contact and aggressive driving/conduct will
result in the following action being taken.

1/10 Stadium
Truck: Only 2 wheel drive vehicles allowed. Any 540 sized, brushed or brushless
motor allowed outside. Only 19 turn brushed or 13.5 turn brushless
(3,300kv max) allowed indoor, this will be enforced. Any 1-7.2
volt “NiCad” or “NiMh” made up of 6 or 7 cells, or 1-2S LiPo battery packs
allowed. Stock chassis and bodies allowed only. Any 2.2 Stadium truck tire or
wheel allowed.

4wd Buggy: Only 4 wheel drive vehicles allowed. Any 540 sized, brushed or brushless
motor allowed outside. Only 19 turn brushed or 13.5 turn brushless
(3,300kv max) allowed indoor, this will be enforced. Any 1-7.2
volt “NiCad” or “NiMh” made up of 6 or 7 cells, or 1-2S LiPo battery packs
allowed. Stock chassis and bodies allowed only. Any 2.2 buggy tire or wheel
allowed.

Touring: Only 4 wheel drive touring cars allowed. Any 540 sized, brushed or
brushless motor allowed outside. Only 19 turn brushed or 13.5 turn brushless
(3,300kv max) allowed indoor, this will be enforced. Any 1-7.2
volt “NiCad” or “NiMh” made up of 6 or 7 cells, or 1-2S LiPo battery packs
allowed. Stock chassis and bodies allowed only, minimum ride height of 2mm
allowed. Any size touring car foam or rubber tire allowed.
Electric
Monster: Any 2wd or 4wd electric monster truck. Any 540 sized, brushed or
brushless motor allowed outside. Only 19 turn brushed or 13.5 turn
brushless (3,300kv max) allowed indoor, this will be enforced.
Any 1-7.2 volt “NiCad” or “NiMh” made up of 6 or 7 cells, or 1-2S LiPo battery
packs allowed. E-Maxx and E-Revo monster trucks are not allowed on indoor
carpet track.
Small
Block Nitro Monster Truck: Any .20 and smaller nitro engine, 2wd and 4wd
trucks. Reverse is not permitted. All tires and bodies are allowed. 1/10 nitro
stadium trucks may be allowed if there are not enough entries to form a
separate class. Brushed monster trucks are allowed if there are not enough
entries to form a separate class or drivers choose to.
Big
Block Nitro Monster Truck: Any .21 and larger nitro engine, 2wd and 4wd trucks.
Reverse is not permitted. All tires and bodies are allowed. Brushless monster
trucks may be allowed if there are not enough entries to form a separate class
or drivers choose. Center differential bumps you to Truggy.
